One Of The Oldest Affiliate Schemes Around

By pgesystems On September 29, 2009 NO COMMENTS

Everybody knows the Amazon website. No doubt about it, they are one of the most famous online shops on the planet. They may even be one of the most famous retailers full stop. But what comes to mind when you think about Amazon? Books, CDs, DVDs, consumer electronics and gadgets. I suppose these days the Amazon Kindle reader might be the first thing a lot of people associate with Amazon.

The fact of the matter is that Amazon have an incredible range of goods available at their online retail outlet. You can buy all sorts of things for your home, hoovers, pots and pans, bed linen, tools, toys and games. You can download music and video without having to wait for a CD or DVD in the post. You can even do your grocery shopping on Amazon.

Which is all very interesting of course – but what difference does it make to you?

Affiliate Programs & Internet Marketing

By pgesystems On August 29, 2009 NO COMMENTS

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing creates a relationship between multiple actors:

1) the Merchant (aka the Advertiser, or Partner),

2) the Affiliate (also known as the Publisher), and

3) the Customer – If we think about the Affiliate Program in its entirety, we must include another party as well.

The Merchant gives the product or service for sale, and the Affiliate works to sell that product or service for the merchant and/or drive traffic to the merchant’s website. In return, the Merchant provides the Affiliate a commission for sales and/or established actions.

Commission Arrangements

Payment arrangements are typically performance-based (which effectively shifts some of the risk from the Merchant to the Affiliate) and agreements are frequently structured as Pay Per Click (PPC), Pay Per Sale (PPS) and Pay Per Lead (PPL) – or some combination.

Affiliate Marketing Classes

If we separate affiliate marketing based on levels, we have four different groupings:

  1. one-tier,
  2. dual tier,
  3. multi-tier, and
  4. residual income programs

Single-Tier Affiliate Programs

In a single-tier affiliate program, the Affiliates earn

How to Earn Passive Internet Income

By pgesystems On August 27, 2009 NO COMMENTS

How to Earn Passive Income From Product Reviews Internet media allows for many forms of advertising – some analogous to their real-world counterparts (think classifieds websites, online newspapers and the like), and others a good deal more creative, and possible only on the Internet.

For example, I hang out on blogs and communities (forums) that I know deal with the general market of products that I’m keen on. I know I’m in contact with real people out there, with real experiences and no incentive for sharing a biased/dishonest opinion of a product’s performance. As a consumer, I trust these opinion sources more than I would trust what’s thrown in my face as an advertisement.

I was keen on a particular model of a camera from one of the top brands in the business, and a review on Amazon and a concurring one on a personal blog described the “catch” with the deal that

Affiliate Marketing – How Does It Work?

By pgesystems On July 14, 2009 NO COMMENTS

Affiliate Marketing Definition

Affiliate marketing is the activity which happens as a result of a relationship between two parties – 1) the Merchant (also known as the advertiser, or partner), and 2) the Affiliate (aka the publisher). If we think about the Affiliate Program in its entirety, we must bring in a third party, the Customer, as well.

The Merchant offers the product for purchase, and the Affiliate tries to sell that product for the merchant and/or send traffic back to the merchant’s site. In return, the Merchant pays the Affiliate a commission for sales and/or established actions.

Commission Arrangements

Payment plans are normally performance-based (which is a form of risk mitigation by the Merchant) and arrangements are normally structured as Pay Per Click (PPC), Pay Per Sale (PPS) and Pay Per Lead (PPL) – or some mixture.

Affiliate Marketing Classes

If we divide affiliate marketing based on depth, we have three separate classes:  1) single-tier, 2) two-tier and

Over the past years, web hosting has grown bigger than it used to be. With more companies getting into this business and finding the many benefits it can give them, the demand for web hosting has never been higher. These seem to be the trend of today.

38 million people have put up their very first websites online this year 2005 alone. It is estimated that by 2008, the internet sales industry will top then dollar bank. And to think, majority of those sites will be offering different affiliate programs for people to choose and participate into.

This only means one thing. It is easier now to find the right web host for your application. The possibility of quality web hosting companies separating themselves from the rest of the industry is anticipated. If this is done, the unprofessional and incompetent ones will suffer.

Support will be the number one consideration for people when choosing a
